Maxillary Osteomyelitis after Canine Space intection

Abstract
Osteomyelitis is the inflammatory disease occurred in the bone, involving a bone marrow. The mandible is the most commonly involved facial bone and the maxilla and bones in the middle of third of the face are rare because of a abundant blood supply. Osteomyelitis is divided into acute and chronic osteomyelitis. Chronic osteomyelitis is presented as a pain, swelling, pus discharge and radiographic change. We report the case that maxillary osteomyelitis is resulted by canine space infection.
